AIM confers honorary doctorate in management to JAZA


The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) honored Ayala Corp. Chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala by conferring upon him the Honorary Degree of Doctorate in Management. 

Zobel, a Harvard-educated luminary, was recognized by AIM for his contributions to the business landscape of Asia.

Under his leadership, AIM noted that the Ayala group has diversified its interests in several sectors, setting benchmarks for corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and innovation.

Notably, Zobel was recognized as the first Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Pioneer from the Philippines for his commitment to advance sustainability and promote the 17 SDGs in business practices. 

His advocacy for environmental protection, community development, and education initiatives has positioned the Ayala group as a model for responsible corporate citizenship.

During his commencement address, Zobel expressed gratitude for the honorary doctorate degree and offered words of wisdom to the graduating class of 2024. 

He emphasized the importance of purposeful decision-making, attention management, the value of relationships, and the significance of defining one's purpose and values in life and career.

The Honorary Degree of Doctorate in Management bestowed upon Zobel is a testament to his outstanding career achievements and enduring impact on the Asian business community.
