2 Vietnamese arrested for illegal possession of firearms, drugs in Pasay City
Two Vietnamese nationals were arrested by members of the Pasay city police Station Intelligence Section (SIS) for illegal possession of a firearm and drugs inside a bar in Pasay City on Tuesday, July 9.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspects were identified as alias Van, 26, and alias Hoang, 23. They were arrested at around 3:00 a.m. at a bar located along Roxas Boulevard, Barangay 76, Zone 10, Pasay City.
The Pasay City police under Col. Samuel Pabonita said members of the SIS were conducting checks and monitoring on KTV bars along Roxas Boulevard when they received reports of firearms being brought inside the bars and clubs.
Pabonita said a man identified as Truong, 26, also a Vietnamese national, approached the policemen claiming that he was threatened by the suspects by showing a firearm.

He said police operatives immediately responded to the complaint of Truong leading to the arrest of the suspects.
Police recovered a .45 caliber pistol with a magazine and three live ammunition from alias Van which had no license to own and possess firearm (LTOFP) and permit to carry (PTC).

The police also recovered 1.5 grams of shabu worthP10,200 from alias Hoang.
The suspects were brought to the police custodial facility after their arrest and were charged for illegal possession of firearm and shabu.
