LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Suspected shabu worth P2.7 million was seized from a 33-year-old drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Nabua, Camarines Sur on Sunday morning, July 7.

Police Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office-5, identified the suspect as alias Ala, a male high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade.
The suspect was nabbed after he sold shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
“The operation resulted in the seizure of shabu worth P2,720,000. The operation was conducted by joint operatives of the Nabua Municipal Police Station (MPS), the lead unit, and the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU) of Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office (PPO), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Regional Office V (PDEA-RO V) at around 5:25 a.m.," she said.
Calubaquib said that the suspect was informed of his rights and documentation and marking of evidence were conducted in the presence of mandatory witnesses.
"Ala will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002," she added.
The suspect is in the custody of the Nabua MPS for proper disposition.
