“Nothing was planted. The (viral) video was cut,” said Razalan.
A video of the suspect Atan circulated online following the June 29 operation conducted by the Dueñas Municipal Police Station. The clip showed that a sachet of suspected shabu allegedly falling to the ground.
Razalan noted that when the entire video was played, the suspect dropped the illegal drug taken from his wallet when the undercover policeman declared a buy-bust operation.
“It was the third operation against him,” Razalan said.
The 38-year-old suspect was identified as a high-value drug suspect operating in the fourth district of this province.
Razalan said his men are sternly warned against planting of drugs. “We don’t plant drugs to reach our target accomplishment,” Razalan said.
The IPPO was able to confiscate shabu worth P9.2 million in 15 anti-illegal drug operations in June.
