Las Piñas LGU supports 2 police officers wounded in robbery incident

The city government of Las Piñas shouldered all the hospital expenses of two policemen who were wounded during a robbery incident last June 20 in Barangay Manuyo Dos.
Las Piñas City Vice-Mayor April Aguilar visited the two policemen, MSgt.Warren Panton and MSgt. Avelino Lopez, both assigned to Las Piñas Police Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit (TMRU), at their hospital bed in Las Piñas Doctor Hospital.
During her visit to the two policemen, who were recuperating from gunshot wounds in their legs, Aguilar told their families that the city government will shoulder all their medical expenses.
The two policemen were also provided with additional cash assistance to support their ongoing recovery.
The vice-mayor said the exceptional bravery and heroism demonstrated by the two policemen reflect their commitment to protecting the community.
Aguilar said their actions have brought honor to the police force and highlighted the importance of swift and effective law enforcement in maintaining public safety.
She said the city police chief, Col. Sandro Tafalla, reported the bravery of the two policemen who responded to the robbery incident and killed an unidentified suspect.
