CEBU CITY – The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) is ensuring that security measures are in place as delegates for the Palarong Pambansa have started arriving here.

POLICE are ensuring security for the Palarong Pambansa in Cebu City.
Police Col. Colonel Ireneo Dalogdog, chief of the CCPO, assured that student-athletes and school officials coming from various competing regions are secured during their stay in this city.
The week-long Palarong Pambansa will formally open on July 9 at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Dalogdog led the inspection of some billeting areas on Thursday, July 4.
“We will enforce strict security in billeting areas to protect the delegates,” said Dalogdog.
Security cameras have been installed in billeting areas as well as in game venues and are connected to the Command Center at the CCSC for close monitoring. Venues are located not just in Cebu City but also in the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu.
Dalogdog assured that there will be enough uniformed policemen that will be deployed in billeting areas and game venues.
Aside from being alert on the time, Dalogdog reminded his men to always make themselves neat while on duty.
Police are expecting at least 12,000 student-athletes and officials to attend the Palaro.
