GMA shows, personalities feted at the Golden Laurel Awards

Several personalities and programs of GMA Network were honored anew at the Golden Laurel 2024: The Batangas Province Media Awards.

GMA Public Affairs pillar and the Philippines’ most awarded broadcast journalist, Jessica Soho, was conferred the "JPL Lifetime Achievement Award" for her legacy of excellence, which continues to inspire generations of journalists.

Soho hosts the multi-awarded and high-rating public affairs program “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” which also won this year’s “Best Infotainment Show.”

GMA Integrated News’ award-winning flagship newscast “24 Oras” won “Best News Program.”

Taking home the “Male News Anchor of the Year” award was GMA Integrated News personality and “24 Oras Weekend” anchor Ivan Mayrina.

Earning the nod of students and the LPU-Batangas community as “Best Documentary Show” was “The Atom Araullo Specials.”

Meanwhile, the LPU-Batangas honored Sparkle consultant Johnny “Mr. M.” Manahan with the "SHL Lifetime Achievement Award” for his contribution to shaping Philippine entertainment.

The Golden Laurel 2024: The Batangas Province Media Awards is organized by the Lyceum of the Philippines University—Batangas. Winners are chosen based on the votes of students, employees, and partner schools in the province. This year’s awarding ceremony was held on June 14.
