3 reasons to visit this year’s World Chocolate Fair

As if the chocolate alone isn't reason enough

The 5th S Maison x Auro World Chocolate Fair is back, marking a momentous year of enchanting chocolate revelry from July 3 to 7, 2024. The internationally awarded, proudly Filipino chocolate company Auro Chocolate, and S Maison, the premium dining and lifestyle destination in the MOA Complex, will take you on a chocolate adventure like no other.

Here are three reasons to visit this much-awaited chocolate fair.

Dragon inspired theme
Prepare to embark on a quest to the heart of the Wooden Dragon's Lair. This fair is not only for chocolate lovers but also for dragon fans. With the theme of the “Dragon’s Den,” the event’s design featured dragons and chocolates inspired by the legendary creature.

“We thought it could be funny because the ‘House of Dragons’ came out and it’s the year of the dragon as well. We really wanted to bring everyone and have a mystical, magical experience with dragons,” Mark Ocampo of Auro Chocolate told Manila Bulletin Lifestyle in an interview during the opening of the fair last Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

On top of the mythical design set-up, Auro also presents the limited-edition Dragon Eggs Chocolate at the fair. This exclusive chocolate is specially crafted for the event, featuring a scale-like outer appearance with surprises inside each egg.

“It’s actually only available until Sunday. Once it’s sold out, it’s officially sold out,” Mark said.

Exclusive flavors to try
In this event, brave adventurers shall also discover delectable, mouth-watering, limited-edition confectionery and drinks, all crafted with Auro’s award-winning cacao and chocolate products.

Bubu Bars prepared handcrafted 100 percent vegan ice cream, expertly coated with Auro’s rich and velvety dark chocolate. Ciento Cookies offers exclusive flavors available only during the World Chocolate Fair, such as Auro Red Velvet Cream Cheese, Auro Brown Butter Triple Chocolate Cienthins, and Auro Brown Butter Campfire Smores.

But First, Coffee also joined the fair, as well as Kultura, Conrad Manila, Daniel Baker, Doughmain, Mindful Indulgence, and Faux Trix. Each of them offers unique food items specially made for the occasion.

Auro cafe also brings new flavors: Lemon Lime Cacao Iced Tea, Ube Choc Au Lait - Classic Dark Choc Au Lait, Classic White Choc Au Lait, Truffle Cream Cheese Danish, Tinapang Bangus Pandesal, Ensaymada, Pistachio Cube, and Paquibato Chocolate Eclair.

“Auro does a playful take on Filipino culture, heritage, classics,” Kelly Go, co-founder and managing director of Auro Chocolate said.

Dragon-inspired costume contest
To level up the fun, there's an activity everyone can join for a chance to win exciting prizes. To join, go to the event wearing your best dragon realm-inspired outfit and post an Instagram photo or reel along with your favorite treats at the fair.

Then, follow and tag S Maison, Auro Chocolate, and all the participating brands. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #SmaisonxAuroWorldChocolateFair #WCF2024.

“Every single vendor provided a gift for the winner,” Mark said. “All you have to do is come to the fair in a dragon inspired outfit and post it. It will be selected by esteemed judges from the SM group and  from Auro as well.”

The Auro Chocolate team will notify the winner via DM on July 6, 2024. The winner may claim the prize the same day on or before Sunday, July 7, 2024, during fair hours.
