Typhoon-stricken families in Bulacan receive 'Kalinga Packs'
Typhoon-stricken families in Bulacan received "Kalinga Packs" through the Operation Tulong Express (OPTE) program which initiated a series of relief operations in the province from July 27 to 29.
At least eight barangays in Marilao, Bulacan including the flooded areas and evacuation centers in Obando were given 2,400 Kalinga packs.
In Baliwag City, five barangays received truckloads of relief packs from SM City Baliwag volunteers and the rescue teams from each barangay.
A total of 1,000 families were given aid in the villages of Tiaong, San Jose, Sta. Barbara, Poblacion, and Tibag.
SM Center Pulilan, on the other hand, carried out the distribution of relief packs in Barangay Tinejero and Poblacion, benefiting at least 300 families in the town.
Bulacan has been identified as one of the hardest-hit Central Luzon provinces by the massive flooding that caused severe damage to its infrastructure, agriculture, and livestock.
