Pack of floating shabu worth P6.8 M recovered in Cagayan

SANCHEZ MIRA, Cagayan – A pack of shabu was recovered by two fishermen floating on the shoreline of Barangay Masisit here on Tuesday, July 30.

Police Major Jeorge Jacob,  Sanchez Mira chief of police, said that the contraband was confirmed to be shabu in an examination conducted by the Cagayan police forensic unit.

It weighed one kilo and valued at P6.8 million. The item also had Chinese markings similar to those found in the West Philippine Sea in Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.

Jacob advised fishermen in Cagayan to immediately turn over if they find such items to the police.
