Malabon LGU offers 5,600 job opportunities to city residents

A total of 5,600 job opportunities were offered to city residents by the Malabon City local government during its 4th Mega Job Fair held on Wednesday, July 31.

The event was led by Mayor Jeannie Sandoval through the city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and the City Council.
The mega job fair aimed to provide a stable and decent job to the residents to enhance their quality of life.

According to the city’s public information office, the PESO partnered with 45 companies and offered local, national, and international job opportunities including openings for human resource coordinator and assistant, receptionist, delivery rider, factory, and utility staff.
In addition, positions for warehouse tagger, sales merchandiser, company driver, front office associate, sew operator, storage helper, utility man, welder, truck mechanic and driver, mechanical engineer, food tech, plumber, and product specialist were also offered to the jobseekers.


The city government also opened a one-stop-shop where job seekers could process the necessary documents for their applications, such as PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), Pag-Ibig, and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for free.
“Hindi po tayo titigil sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa iba’t ibang kumpanya, local and abroad, at sa pagsasagawa ng mga ganitong programa upang patuloy nating maipatupad ang ating layunin na makapagbigay ng trabahao at mapabuti natin ang buhay ng mga Malabueño (We will not stop collaborating with various companies, both local and abroad, and implementing programs like these to continuously achieve our goal of providing jobs and improving the lives of Malabueños),” Sandoval said.
“Ito na ang ating panahon! Kaya naman asahan ninyong hindi tayo titigil sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa na siguradong tutulong sa mga Malabueño sa kanilang mga pangangailangan (This is our time! So, you can expect us to keep implementing programs that will surely help Malabueños with their needs),” the mayor added.
City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete emphasized the city government's commitment to prioritizing the needs of its residents to provide a better and more stable quality of life.
“Sa mga malakihang job fair na katulad nito ay ating nailalapit ang mga trabaho sa ating mga mahal na Malabueño na nangangailang nito para sa patuloy na pagpapabuti ng kanilang mga kalagayan. Dito sa Malabon, ating prayoridad ang mga ganitong programa dahil ito ay isa sa mga hakbang para sa patuloy nating pag-ahon at upang maiayos ng mga Malabueño ang kanilang pamumuhay at maabot ang kanilang mga pangarap (Through large-scale job fairs like this, we bring job opportunities closer to our beloved Malabueños who need them to continuously improve their living conditions. Here in Malabon, we prioritize programs like these because they are crucial steps towards our continuous progress and help Malabueños improve their lives and achieve their dreams),” he said.
