Hedcor turns over farm inputs to Benguet town

SABLAN, Benguet – Hedcor, a renewable energy subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corp., donated equipment and seedlings worth a total of P620,000 to this town called the fruit basket of this province.

THE town of Sablan in Benguet received farm inputs from Hedcor representatives Geraldine Ronquillo (second from left) and John Michael Rico (fourth from left) to Mayor Alfredo Dacumos Jr. (third from left) with other local civil servants.

Turned over were a tractor and a power sprayer, among other essential agricultural machinery, as well as over 2,400 fruit seedlings.

Many local farmers need access to infrastructure and value-adding inputs to transition to more innovative practices and boost their productivity.

Hedcor President and Chief Operating Officer Rolando Pacquiao said that the donation is meant to help streamline the farming process, increase yields, and, ultimately, empower local farmers.

Mayor Alfredo Dacumos Jr. underscored the shared vision of Hedcor and Sablan to drive long-term growth in local communities.
