Gemini 1.5 Flash now available in the country

Google’s update to their Gemini AI, called Gemini 1.5 Flash, is now available in the country.  

As the name suggests, Flash is designed for quicker and more insightful responses. You can upload images and ask for an analysis. Soon, it 1.5 Flash will be able to provide charts and graphs.  

Google boasts the biggest update to 1.5 Flash is enhanced accuracy. Links to related content will also be provided to verify information. This, however, does not mean AI hallucinations are gone. We could still encounter them, but with the 1.5 Flash update, we may see less of them.  

The Gemini mobile app is now also available in the country. It’s accessible through Google Play. It’s also available in the Apple App Store – but Google was not very specific about that.   

As part of the new features, you can chat with Gemini through Google Messages, which sounds intriguing.  

Google also said they will expand Gemini access to teenagers globally, in over 40 languages. Teenagers in the Philippines who meet the minimum age requirement to manage their Google Account will have access to Gemini—which is, a lot of people, since some folks out there like to make social media accounts for kids, so there’s a likely chance they have their own emails already. Google says that teenagers can use Gemini for their school, explore their interests, and learn new things. 

Google claims they are implementing robust safety measures and educational resources to support teens in using Gemini responsibly.
