BCDA partners with K-Water to locate water sources
For New Clark City, Camp John Hay
State-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has partnered with Korean Water Resources Corp. (K-Water) to find water sources for New Clark City in Tarlac and Camp John Hay in Baguio.
In a statement, Joshua M. Bingcang, BCDA president and chief executive officer said the government-run company tapped K-Water to create water resource plans for the two projects.
BCDA and K-Water executives have recently signed two memoranda of understanding (MOUs). K-Water will conduct feasibility studies on water supply sources for both locations.
Bingcang stressed the importance of creating partnerships with Korea, a leader in innovating technology to address the climate crisis.
“K-Water has been at the forefront of water development for industrialization and economic prosperity”, Bingcang said.
Song Yon Han, Vice President of K-Water, also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. He emphasized their desire for the collaboration to “celebrate cooperative effort and to foster continuous cooperation.”
The MOUs serve as confirmation of the collaborative study and will ensure that results will provide insights on the subject, this includes smart water supplies and sewage monitoring systems.
K-Water aims to provide a consolidated report of their findings by December of this year. They also promised to stay dedicated to their partnership with BCDA and to strive for the best outcome for both parties.
