BUTUAN CITY – Police Col. April Mark C. Young has been appointed as new Agusan del Norte police chief.

Young assumed the position in a turnover ceremony at the Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office Resource Learning Center in Barangay Libertad here on Monday, July 29.
Young replaced Police Col. Filemon O. Pacios who was assigned to the Office of the Regional Director in Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez here.
Young, a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Magilas Class of 2000, was previously assigned to the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-13.
PRO 13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro led the ceremony with the chief of the regional staff, Police Col. James T. Goforth.
Nazarro appealed to the Agusan del Norte police to vigorously enforce anti-criminality, counterinsurgency, and internal cleansing efforts.
“This turn-over of command has only changed the leaders,” he said. “The core values and systems that guide us remain the same, and our commitment to better serve the people remains our priority.”
