Please respect the Philippine National Police's (PNP) decision, you should know better.
This, in a nutshell, was Manila 3rd district Cong. Joel Chua's message to Vice President Sara Duterte amid the latter's claim of harassment after the PNP took away 75 of her police security detail.
(The PNP's statement is clear in that they removed a good number of her security detail so that it can be diverted to more important tasks. In my opinion, this should be respected by the Vice President and she should trust the PNP that it knows what it is doing.)
(What the PNP wants to protect is the entire country, and not just a chosen few. We are quite short on cops, the Vice President should know that.)
The Manila congressman says the PNP has also clarified that ample security personnel would still remain with Vice President Duterte and that they can protect her.
"Kaya wala akong nakikitang harassment sa ginawa ng PNP (That's why I don’t see any harassment on the part of the PNP)," noted Chua.
Based on the records of the Vice President Protection and Security Group (VPSPG), which is the equivalent to the Presidential Security Group (PSG), VP Duterte still has 355 security personnel left, even though her 75 police escorts have been removed.

(There’s no harassment here, this only reflects the desire of the PNP leadership to give proper tasking to its personnel.)
Vice President Duterte's direct predecessor, Leni Robredo, had only 75 security personnel although she was not an ally of former president Rodrigo Duterte.
It can be recalled that a total 75 PSPG personnel assigned to the security detail of VP Sara has been recalled and transferred to another unit.
The PNP also insisted that there are still 31 PNP personnel who will remain with VP Duterte, aside from the soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
“Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has more than enough security personnel compared to her predecessors, ensuring a robust and comprehensive security framework. The adjustments in security personnel reflect our commitment to adopting security needs while also adhering to directives that enhance overall police efficiency,” PNP Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil recently explained.
