Chad, known for his quick wit and infectious humor, outlasted his competitors for the grand prize. Chad tells Gossip Girl, “ I have always been a fan of LOL in other countries, even before the Philippine franchise. I've seen different versions of it. It didn't feel real at first when I was chosen because, from what I know, only the top-caliber comedians get invited. I didn't think I would be chosen because I don't feel I belong to the top-tier comedians in the Philippines. Then, my handler confirmed that I would be in the show. My heart stopped at that moment. I was mixed with so many emotions. Fear, joy, anxiety. It's like Inside Out 2, hahaha. Then came the preparation time. I have no idea what comedy piece to prepare because I have no clue who will be with me in the show. So, I came up with a piece that will not make me laugh (bungisngis kasi ako). I must be careful because I laugh a lot, even with jokes. The goal here is not to laugh, so I developed my chef skit that will only need interaction with other contenders. Now, the time has come for the competition. I entered the room to find myself alone. I am the first one to enter; for me, it's like a bad omen, or so I thought. In my mind, 'Am I going to be the first one to be eliminated because I am the first one to enter.' My heart jumps every single time someone enters the door. To my surprise, I know everyone. The moment I saw Ruffa and Empoy, my hopes were gone. I cannot win because they are hilarious, and I don't know if I can hold back my laughter. It was six hours of mental war. I was trying not to crack and to crack others. My soul left me every time they started doing their antics and gimmicks. I was trying hard to hold everything in. Then, eight of them were eliminated. We were leaving me and Jerald in the top 2. I know from the beginning that we cannot make each other laugh. In the last hour, I only prayed that I could finish the show without laughing. Alas, the time ended, and I was declared the winner. I couldn't even know what to feel because my emotions were all held back. But when the crown and the announcement were made, I finally smiled again. It was the happiest moment; it's so surreal."

Chad faced stiff competition from a talented lineup of comedians but emerged as the winner of the P1 million. The show was a rollercoaster of laughs, with each comedian employing their unique style to try and make the others laugh while maintaining their composure.

His ability to keep a straight face while delivering and enduring a barrage of jokes from his peers ultimately led him to victory. For those who want to catch the hilarious antics and see Chad's winning performance, subscribing to Prime Video is the way to go.
