Gerald Anderson took to social media to allay fans worried about him having contracted something when he went out to rescue several people amid the onslaught of typhoon Carina.
Posting a photo of him holding two capsules, he wrote:
"Last days of meds, from the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone for the love & concern..."

The commotion started with the actor himself asking social media followers where he could get Doxycyline, an antibiotic used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and certain parasites, a few days after his daring exploit.
According to Gerald, he had visited a number of drug stores for the same but he couldn't find any.
Many were quick to react, with some wondering aloud if the actor caught rat fever or leptospirosis.
Note that rats are the most common carrier of the disease.
Humans usually catch it if exposed to the blood or urine of the infected animal or in contaminated water.
