The M5 world champions immediately stamped their class in the opening game before bucking a slow start and completing a thrilling comeback in the second to take an early lead in the Group D.

Marco “Super Marco” Requitano showed the way in Game 1 as five early kills allowed his gold lane Roger to quickly reach its power spike and snowball to the mid-game.

He ended the game with a perfect 6-0-2 record as FCAP drew first blood in the series with a dominant 9-1 win in just 13 minutes of play. Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel also provided the plays on his midlane Luo Yi pick with a 1-0-5 line while Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson added a neat 2-0-5 line on the jungle Julian.

The Chinese team, however, didn’t want to go down without a fight as Filipino import Kiel “Kielvj” Hernandez spearheaded a huge retaliation for XYG in Game 2.

They actually managed to put the Beehive on the ropes after taking down all of their outer turrets. The Chinese team looked to be on its way to forcing a Game 3 but faltered during a clash for the Luminous Lord where the Filipinos eliminated three of their heroes.

Not wasting the opportunity was FCAP which went for the base push, taking down the remaining heroes of XYG to complete a wipeout and notch a come-from-behind 12-16 Game 2 win.

Kielvj paced his team with a 6-2-6 line on the Arlott pick but not enough against Super Marco, who took over in the late game with a 2-1-9 line on the Claude and and Kyletzy who had a 5-2-2 tally on the Roger pick.
