Foreigner nabbed over bomb joke at Dipolog Airport

Airport authorities held a foreign male passenger over a bomb joke at the Dipolog Airport in Zamboanga del Norte. 

A report from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Area Center 9 revealed that the foreigner claimed to be carrying with him an atomic bomb while he and his wife were waiting for their flight to Manila on Wednesday morning, July 3. 

The foreigner was held and turned over to the local police. He and his wife were not able to board their flight as a result of the incident.

Presidential Decree No. 1727 punishes bomb jokes with a penalty of imprisonment of not more than five years, or a fine of not more than  P40,0000.
