G-Force artistic director Georcelle Dapat-Sy admitted that she has not reconnected with Sarah Geronimo but wishes the pop star royalty all the best.

"No. We have not," said Georcelle when asked if she had reconnected with Sarah moments after the G-Force 2024 Dance Concert at The Theater Solaire in Paranaque City on July 28.

The famous dance teacher added: "You know, I've done a lot of collaborations with Sarah Geronimo, and those are treasured collaborations. I am very thankful. I am very blessed for all the collaborations that we've done. So, I wish her all the best, and I hope that she wishes all the best, also for my team."

Georcelle and Sarah collaborated for 16 years, including for the hit song "Tala." However, the two celebrities reportedly parted ways due to artistic differences. Geoircelle said she's hopeful they will work on future projects again.

Fans were expecting G-Force to be part of Sarah's 20th anniversary concert in showbiz but the dance group did not attend.

In May 2023, Sarah said she G-Force was part of her showbiz career.

"Malaking bagay sila ng career ko. It would have been more magical if they were there," Sarah told ABS-CBN News in an interview. "I wanted them to be there to celebrate my 20 years with me… Baka maiyak ako."

Georcelle then said: "It's also like giving her creative freedom. Sixteen years kaming magkatrabaho, parang love team," she told ABS-CBN News after her guest appearance on the noontime program "It's Showtime," when sought for comment.

"But we have to grow and experience others. Bottomline is I want her to feel good about that process," said Georcelle, in a report by ABS-CBN News.

G-Force Project 2024

This developed as G-Force concluded its G-Force Project 2024 with 39 classes at the Theatre at Solaire, ending with two sold-out recitals on July 7 and 28.

The hashtag #MovingForwardWithAI saw the embrace of the future of dance with the visit of two internationally renowned choreographers.

Filipino-American Brian Puspos, who worked on the moves of Jungkook (“Seven,” “3d”, “ Standing Next To You”), Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, and BTS danced with G-Force and its students last July 7.

Ling Zhang, a member of Jam Republic, the Royal Family Dance Crew, and ReQuest, also visited Manila as she got to watch and groove with the students during the July 28 recital. She held a master class at Blanco by G-Force in Taguig last July 29.

“When we conceptualized this year’s G-Force Project, we considered how to adapt to the future of artificial intelligence,” said Georcelle.

While there are still questions, one thing is clear – dance will evolve, and Brian and Ling’s visit just showed that we , as human beings, continue to create movements that AI will not easily replicate.

"The G-Force Project students, composed of kids, teens, and adults, got to groove to Hip-hop, Dancehall, Sexy Class, Contemporary, K-Pop, and OPM. More than dancing, the students met new friends, built confidence, and enjoyed themselves. Everyone is already looking forward to next year’s Dance Project.

The future of dance is something to look forward to as G-Force continues offering classes at its dance centers in Quezon City, Alabang, and BGC branches all year round.

Following the dance recitals at The Theatre at Solaire, G-Force gears up for its out-of-Canada tour in August with classes in Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.
