Several Cavite LGUs suspend classes on July 29 due to bad weather

CAVITE – Several local government units (LGUs) announced the suspension of classes on Monday, July 29, due to inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon.
Classes in all levels are canceled in public and private schools in the following areas:
- Alfonso (12 p.m. onwards)
- General Emilio Aguinaldo
- General Trias City (12 p.m. onwards)
- Maragondon
- Naic
- Tanza
- Ternate
Other LGUs did not suspend classes on the first day of the academic year 2024-2025, as originally scheduled by the Department of Education.
The Cavite Police Provincial Office, meanwhile, stated that its forces are prepared to protect and ensure order during the start of classes.
"We will ensure the safety and security of our citizens, especially our students as the School Year 2024-2025 begins,” Cavite PPO Director Col. Eleuterio M. Ricardo Jr. said in a statement.
