The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has formally submitted a copy of the proposed national budget for fiscal year 2025 to the Senate.

Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero, together with other senators received the 2025 National Expenditure Program (NEP) from Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, at the Senate Ceremonial Hall in Pasay City on Monday July 29.
Also present during the turnover rites were Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada, Majority Leader Francis “Tol” Tolentino, Sens. Grace Poe, Alan Peter Cayetano and Victor Joseph “JV” Ejercito.
The 2025 NEP proposes a P6.235-trillion national budget.
Earlier, Escudero said the Senate will thoroughly scrutinize next year’s budget and will try to finalize it before the end of this year.
