Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque denied ownership of the raided property in Tuba, Benguet allegedly housing a Chinese individual involved in Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) Bamban, Tarlac.

"Ang bahay po na tinutukoy niyo sa Tuba, Benguet ay rehistrado sa isang korporasyon (The house that you are referring to is registered under a corporation)," he said during the hearing of the Senate Committee on Women and Children on POGO-related crimes.
"Tinirhan ko po yan nung ako po'y umalis sa gobyerno (I lived there after my stint in the government) and I do have an interest in the corporation that owns it," he added.
He denied possession of the property, stating that as of January 2024, it was leased to a Chinese national.
"Noong siya po ay pumirma sa contract of lease ay ni-require siya na magpakita ng alien certificate of registration at lumalabas po na siya ay holder ng 9G working visa (When the contract of lease was signed, she was asked to show an alien certification of registration and it turned out she is a 9G working visa holder) meaning she has a right to be in the Philippines," he said.
Roque said that he is concluding a transaction wherein he will acquire the corporation in the future.
He addressed this amid allegations that the house wherein two foreign nationals were arrested in connection to the POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac belongs to him during a joint operation of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).
The agency identified the suspects as Wang Keping, 35, female, and Khuon Moeurn, 37, male, a Cambodian.
BI Intelligence Division chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. said that the operation was conducted following information from the PAOCC about the Chinese woman’s ties to the POGO and that she is hiding in the municipality.
Manahan said they arrived in the area and only found the two foreigners. Their target was not around.
