CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office-3 has deployed 1,000 policemen to secure the opening of classes for school year 2024-2025 in Central Luzon on Monday, July 29.

PRO-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. said that they have implemented the annual Ligtas Balik-Eskwela 2024 initiative of the Philippine National Police headquarters to enhance public safety and increase police presence around schools, colleges, and universities, areas often targeted by criminals.
Police Assistance Desks led by commissioned officers have been established in educational institutions.
Field officers have been instructed to visit schools and collaborate with officials to deter robbery, pickpockets, drug dealing, and kidnapping.
Police collaborated with traffic auxiliaries to manage the expected increase in traffic in Central Luzon.
