Revelations made by Nancy Gamo, suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo's alleged accountant showed the latter's "active participation" in the incorporation of the raided Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in Bamban, Tarlac.
During the hearing of the Senate Committee on Women and Children on POGO-related crimes chaired by Senator Risa Hontiveros on Monday, July 29, Gamo disclosed that it was Guo who provided her with the details for the incorporation of Hongsheng Gaming Technology and Zun Yuan Technology, the raided POGO hubs in Bamban, Tarlac under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Before this, Gamo disclosed to Hontiveros that she was in charge of processing the incorporation of 3 Lin-Q Farm Inc., Zun Yuan Technology Inc., Baofu Land Development Inc., Hongsheng Gaming Technology, QJJ Slaughter House, QJJ Smelting Plant, Qseed Genetics Inc., The Siopao Bulilits Foods Inc., and West Cars Inc.
Through the questioning of Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, Gamo revealed that it was Guo who provided her with the details such as the names of the two POGOs' incorporators.
"Makikita po natin, in both instances ng POGO hub na Hongsheng, POGO hub ng Zun Yuan, si Alice muna ang cumontact sa inyo to incorporate kasi being a consultant, siya rin nag-provide ng pangalan (We see that in both instances in the POGO hubs Hongsheng and Zun Yuan, it was Alice who contacted you first to incorporate in your capacity as a consultant, she also provided the names)," Gatchalian said.
"Makikita natin active participation niya dito sa Hongsheng at Zun Yuan on the contrary na sinasabi niya na wala siyang kinalaman sa POGO (We see here her active participation in Hongsheng and Zun Yuan contrary to her claims that she has no involvement with POGOs)," he added.
In previous Senate hearings, Guo has repeatedly denied that she is a protector of POGO.
“Unang-una po hindi ako konektado at hindi po ako operator, hindi po ako protector or coddler po ng POGO. Wala po akong kinalaman sa kanilang operation at saka kahit anong gawains sa loob at labas po ng POGO (First of all, I’m not connected, and I’m not an operator or coddler of POGO. I’m not involved in their operation and anything happening inside or outside of POGO),” Guo explained during the hearing.
“Dati po akong incorporator ng Baofu ngunit ito po ay aking naibenta bago pa po ako pumasok sa pulitika. Meron po akong dokumento na magpapatunay po nito (I was a former incorporator of Baofu but I have already sold my shares before I entered politics. I have documents to prove this),” the mayor added.
Gamo said that she cannot state that Guo has no involvement in the two POGO hubs.
"Ang sinasabi niya is nag-bridge siya, hindi ko rin masasabi na hindi siya involved kasi yung sa first company/ corporation ang lease contract is under the name of Baofu and ang representative niya, Alice Guo. So hindi pwedeng magkahiwalay yun. Andun lagi yung bearing pangalan ni Alice Guo (She said that she only served as a bridge, I cannot say that she's not involved since the first company/corporation the lease contract is under the name Baofu and the representative is Alice Guo. So that cannot be separated. It only bears the name Alice Guo)," Gamo added.
She also said that Guo was lying when she denied knowing Gamo.
"Pero doon po sa isang pagdinig namin nung pumupunta pa siya dito, ah, flatly dineny niya na kakilala ho kayo. Sinabi niya na hindi kayo magkakilala. Anong masasabi niyo ho doon (In one of our hearing when she was still attending, she flatly denied that you know each other. She said that she didn't know you. What can you say about that)?" Gatchalian asked.
"Nagsisinungaling siya (She's lying)," Gamo replied.
After the hearing, Gamo was released from the Senate panel's custody upon the motion of Senator Robinhood Padilla.
