The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) management has been placed on a heightened alert status from July 27 to August 3 in anticipation of the influx of passengers following the resumption of classes in many schools in Metro Manila.
In an advisory, the MRT-3 management said that the measure aims to “ensure the security of the facility and the safety of students as they return to classrooms.”
It has been noted that under heightened alert, security and station personnel shall be ready to assist students and other incoming passengers throughout the period.
The MRT shall also maintain its regular operating hours from 4:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. for trains departing from North Avenue, and from 5:05 a.m. to 10:09 p.m. for trains departing from Taft Avenue.
Classes for the current school year (SY) 2024-2025 officially commenced on Monday, July 29.
