Mayor Along distributes bags, school supplies to students in city's public schools


Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan visited several schools and led the distribution of school supplies and bags to public school students in the city on Monday, July 29.

According to the city government, a total of 222,854 Batang Kankaloo students were expected to return to school on Monday, July 29..

Malapitan visited Camarin Elementary School, Gabriela Silang Elementary School, Bagong Silangan Elementary School, and Kalayaan Elementary School on Monday morning to distribute school kits.

In the afternoon, the mayor was scheduled to visit Tandang Sora Elementary School, Cecilio Apostol Elementary School, and San Jose Elementary School.

The city’s public information office said the school kit includes a backpack, notebooks, pencil, pencil case, eraser, ruler, and pad paper.

The local government explained that the school kits aim to assist parents in providing their children with the necessary learning materials.

"This yearly project of the city government aims to aid parents in their yearly expenses for their children's school supplies," the mayor said.
