CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police Regional Office 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas said they are fully prepared and on high alert for the opening of classes on Monday, July 29.

POLICE secure a public school in Lobo, Batangas prior to the opening of classes on July 29.
Lucas said over 5,300 personnel from Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Philippine Coast Guard, and force multipliers have been deployed to secure 4,896 schools across the region.
Ample number of personnel have also been deployed to places of worship, convergence points, major thoroughfares, and ports in the region to ensure safety and security.
"This is in anticipation of the large crowds taking advantage of the last day of vacation, shopping for school supplies, and preparing to return home for the new school year," he said.
“Our police force, in coordination with various government agencies and community sectors, are ready for the upcoming school opening. The deployment may be increased further to ensure comprehensive coverage and security,” Lucas added.
He said that the public can expect to see more police officers conducting visibility patrols, foot patrols, mobile patrols, checkpoints, and manning police assistance desks across the region in the days ahead.
“While we are busy ensuring the safety and security of our citizens, especially our students as the school year begins, the PNP 4-A will remain steadfast in our campaign against all forms of criminality. Dahil dito sa Bagong Pilipinas lalo na dito sa Calabarzon, ang Gusto ng Pulis, Ligtas ang lahat,” Lucas said.
