BI Intelligence Division chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. said that the operation was conducted following information from the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) about the Chinese woman’s ties to the POGO and that she is hiding in the municipality.
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco issued a mission order against the Chinese woman.
Manahan said they arrived in the area and only found the two foreigners. Their target was not around.
The BI verified the identities of the two foreigners are found out that Moeurn is an undocumented and overstaying alien after he was unable to present proper documents. Moeurn only showed a photo of his Cambodian passport which was only valid until August 2020.
Manahan said Wang has a working visa but faces charges for harboring Moeurn.
"While Wang has a working visa, he could be charged with violating immigration laws for harboring an illegal alien," Manahan said.
They were taken to Manila for booking and the duo will remain with the PAOCC pending deportation proceedings.
