Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez together with Parañaque City Rep. Edwin Olivarez led the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the city's newest three-storey multi-purpose building that will also serve as an evacuation center for residents during calamities and disasters.

The multi-purpose building is located inside Greenheights Subdivision in Barangay San Isidro.

Aside from being an evacuation center, the facility will also be used as a training center for members of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CDRMO).

The mayor explained that once the construction of the building is finished, it can accommodate more residents than the city's other evacuation centers.

This ensures that more evacuees will be saved and protected from disasters and other emergencies.
