
A man's body was found floating along the Pasig River near Coast Guard Compound, Parola Base in Binondo, Manila on Saturday, July 27.
The Manila Police District (MPD) has not yet verified the identity of the victim.
It said the victim was around 30 to 40 years old and was wearing gray t-shirt and green long sleeves with marking "Toyu Construction."
Police said the victim was found by the residents at around 5:57 a.m.
Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) PO3 Jerome Rivera, who was assigned at Parola Base, reported to the police the dead body floating near the barrage of the river.
Investigators said the man had been possibly dead for a long time based on the condition of the body.
They have yet to determine whether the man was a victim of a crime or of the recent typhoon "Carina."
