NBI nabs fake dentist in Quezon

MAUBAN, Quezon – The National Bureau of Investigation apprehended a fake dentist in an entrapment operation in Barangay San Lorenzo here on Wednesday, July 24.

The suspect was identified as Conrado Moreno, alias Rady.

The NBI-Lucena City received intelligence information that the suspect was engaged in illegal practice of dentistry in his residence that also serves as his clinic.

He also made complete dentures and removable partial dentures for patients.

Moreno’s activities were confirmed and an entrapment operation was planned.

The suspect was arrested after receiving the marked money from the poseur-patient while about to administer anesthesia and extract tooth.

The Professional Regulation Commission certified that Moreno is not a holder of a valid certificate of registration and professional identification card in dentistry. He was also not in the roster of registered dentists in the Philippines.

Moreno faces charge for violating Republic Act 9484 (Philippine Dentistry Act of 2007).
