President Marcos continues to be hands-on with his response to the effects of Typhoon "Carina" and the southwest monsoon, which left much of Metro Manila under floodwater.

Witnessing his efforts firsthand was his son, Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos.

On Friday, July 27, the younger Marcos reiterated the Chief Executive’s aim of preventing a calamity of such magnitude from happening again.

"Went with the President to inspect and give assistance to various parts of Metro Manila still experiencing flooding, rest assured we will continue to work tirelessly until more long term solutions are found," he wrote.

Rep. Marcos is the senior deputy majority leader in the House of Representatives.

Also highlighting President Marcos' efforts in inspecting typhoon-damaged areas and distributing relief goods to flood victims was House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

“President Marcos has been actively inspecting typhoon-hit areas and ensuring that relief goods and assistance are distributed promptly. His hands-on approach ensures that the affected communities receive the support they need during these challenging times,” the Speaker said.

“We are coordinating with the President’s efforts, ensuring that we are prepared and responsive to upcoming weather challenges,” he added.
