Farmer stabbed to death in Quezon

GUINAYANGAN, Quezon – A 48-year-old farmer was allegedly stabbed to death by his fellow farmer during a heated altercation in Barangay Lubigan, this town, on Thursday evening, July 25.

Police identified the victim as Edwin Valenzuela of Barangay Lubigan.

Investigation said Valenzuela punched the suspect Mario, also of Barangay Lubigan, during the argument.

The suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed Valenzuela in the stomach several times.

Valenzuela was taken to the Guinayangan Community Hospital where he was declared dead by the attending doctor.

The suspect fled on foot and being hunted by the police. He faces appropriate charges.
