Bela Padilla reacts to Cat Arambulo's flood comment

Count actress Bela Padilla among those disappointed over socialite Cat Arambulo's alleged comment relating the recent flood as caused by Typhoon Carina.

Supposedly, Cat was heard asking in a video: “Safe ba mag-floatie diyan, yaya? I guess so. It’s just water. Should we try? We should wakeboard.”

Although it has since been deleted, it didn't escape netizens.

They criticized Cat, deeming her "out of touch" if also "tone deaf" and "insensitive."

Bela joined in, taking to Instagram to express dismay.

“You see people risking their lives for their loved ones, and your question is, if you and your kids can use a floatie here, come on,” the actress lamented. “Could’ve been a nice teaching moment for your kids, but..."

This is not the first time Cat earned the ire of netizens.

She was criticized several years ago for calling out people going out for work amid the enhanced community quarantine.

She issued an apology following backlash.
