Another pack of floating shabu found in Ilocos Norte

CAMP JUAN, Ilocos Norte – Another pack of floating shabu was found in this province.

The contraband was found by a fisherman in Barangay 32-B, La Paz, Laoag City on Thursday, July 25.

Police Major Amiely Ann Navarro of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Forensic Unit said that the contraband weighed 1.1 kilos and valued at P7,586,488.

A fisherman was collecting firewood 20 meters away from the shore when he spotted a light blue plastic pack with the markings Cai Yun Li.

He partially opened the plastic cover of the package which contained white crystalline substance, prompting him to turn over the item to Barangay Chairman Rommel Martin Asuncion who reported the discovery to the police here.

Police tested the package and confirmed to be shabu.

This was the fourth pack of shabu recovered in Ilocos Norte in the past few days. The first was recovered in Burgos, the second in Barangay Davila, Pasuquin, and the third in Barangay Balaoi, Pagudpud town.
