"I'll be going to inspect all the other areas when we can travel to see what else is needed in the other parts of the country that suffered flooding," Marcos said during his ocular inspection in Malabon on Thursday, July 25.

Marcos and other Cabinet members went to flood-affected areas in the cities of Valenzuela, Malabon and Navotas a day after the severe flooding caused by the typhoon and habagat.

After the inspection, the President said his next step is to "put together" all the requests from local government units (LGUs) for relief operations.

"Now, when I get back to the office, I will be putting together --- now that I know what the situation is, where the areas are --- that need the most. We’ll be putting together already the release packages for the LGUs," Marcos said.

He disclosed that he has been receiving calls since Thursday morning for the release of relief packages.

"Marami nang tumawag sa akin kaninang umaga pa (I have been receiving many calls this morning). So, we will put that all together so that we can go to DBM (Department of Budget and Management) and tell them to release this already para magamit na ng ating mga local officials (so that our local officials can immediately use it)," he said.
