Man arrested for shabu in Taguig

Amid the heavy rains on July 24, a man was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation in Taguig.

The Taguig Police Drug Enforcement agency conducted the operation at about 3:30 a.m. in Barangay Sta. Ana which resulted in the arrest of a suspect identified as alias Toto, 46, for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Authorities confiscated three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 21.9 grams with an estimated street value of P148,920, and two P100 bills used as buy-bust money.

The illegal drugs are being examined by the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit. The police are preparing to file a complaint against the suspect with the Taguig City Prosecutor's Office.
