Biazon commends Muntinlupa rescue, medical teams for helping Malabon residents
Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon lauded the efforts of the city’s rescue and medical teams that helped people in flooded areas in Malabon on July 24.
The Malabon City government asked assistance from the Muntinlupa City government in rescue operations.
Malabon is one of the hardest hit areas by the enhanced Habagat (southwest monsoon) and Typhoon Carina, which caused massive flooding in many areas in Metro Manila and in other parts of the country.

“Salute to oru WASAR (Water Search and Rescue) and Medical teams from DDRM Muntinlupa who bravely responded to the call for assistance from the Malabon City Government,” Biazon said.
The Muntinlupa teams were deployed in Barangay Potrero, Malabon where houses were flooded by the continuous heavy rains.
In Araneta Village in Potrero, the WASAR team rescued 20 families or 86 individuals consisting of 11 infants, 27 kids and 48 adults, the mayor said.
The Muntinlupa medical team treated three people who suffered puncture wounds.
