Pasay evacuees start to return home after Typhoon Carina, enhanced Habagat rains, flood

The Pasay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) said only five evacuation sites remain from the 17 sites initially set-up by the city government for victims of flood during the onset of heavy rains brought about by the southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina on July 24.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said a total of 380 families sought shelter at the evacuation sites during the onslaught of the typhoon.
As of 6:42 a.m. on July 25, only 73 families or 262 individuals remain in five evacuation sites that have yet to return home.
The mayor ordered city social workers to continue checking the conditions of the families that are still staying at the evacuation sites including their needs.
