A total of 22 brave Filipino bets are out for glory in the French capital as the Philippines also celebrates its 100th year of participation in the Olympics.

For one, Aleah Finnegan has shared some moments from her stay at the Olympic Village which has welcomed thousands of athletes from all over the world competing across 32 sports in 16 days.

The 21-year-old Finnegan is one of the four Filipino gymnasts vying for the country’s first medal in artistic gymnastics alongside Emma Malabuyo and Levi Ruivivar as well as returning Olympian Carlos Yulo.

The men’s all-around qualification will commence on Saturday, July 27 for Yulo as the lone Filipino male participant in the event while the women’s side will begin the following day for the trio.

On her TikTok account, Finnegan, just like the rest of her fellow athletes, have been going around the Olympic Village provided by the hosting nation.

Last month, most of the Manila-based athletes left for Metz where they spent some time for their final preparations.

Finnegan then arrived at the village earlier this week where she’s been exploring and experiencing some of the facilities apart from their housing situation which features the controversial cardboard bed.

In her most recent video uploaded a day prior, Finnegan and Malabuyo made French Baguettes after also meeting participants from other countries and trading pins with them.
