Work in all trial courts in the National Capital Region (NCR) is suspended today, Wednesday, July 24.
The work suspension due to continuous heavy rainfall brought by typhoon Carina was issued by Court Administrator Raul B. Villanueva with authority from Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo.
Despite the suspension of work, trial courts and court offices in NCR “should be accessible to lawyers, court users, and litigants through their hotline numbers and/or official email addresses,” Villanueva said.
Earlier, Malacanang had announced the suspension of work in government offices and classes in all level in the NCR today, July 24.
But agencies involved in the delivery of basis and health services, response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.
Malacanang also said the suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.
