The Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) is set to send a 32-man team to the Rifle World Shoot III (RWS III) that is firing off on Aug. 4 to 9 in Oulu, Finland.

Sanctioned by the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), the Philippine contingent is set to face up against over 600 competitors from more than 40 other countries in the highest level rifle match that is composed of 30 stages.
Leading the PH delegation is PPSA President/IPSC Regional Director Edwin Lim and Rifle Chairman Marc Vincent G. Nieves.
The team, meanwhile, is composed of Alan Lao, Tristan Sablada, Jeremy Sua, Nolan Inso, Jose Carlos Coruña, Cirilo Miguel Coruña, Emelito Sarmiento, and Philip Benjamin Santos.
Also part of the delegation are Jesus Victor Martinez, Niño Aspe, Teodorico Salud, Lemuel Larcia, Gerardo Cruz, Marc Oliver Marcelino, Felicito Garcia, Reynold Cainto, Marco Antonio Soliman, Dexter Calizo, Ramil Alcantara and Francis Estayan.
Michael Aguilar, Benjie Mamaed, Pol Joseph Bernabe, Alnil Lepasana, Harold Quinagoran, Ed Quirino, Lily Oostindien, Florencio Liong Jr., Michael Bernardo, Nixon Go, Alvin Hung, and Reginald Torrejos completed the cast.
"We are confident to bring home the glory. This delegation will showcase Filipino world class talent and the future of Philippine Rifle Sport," said Lim.
During the last Rifle World Shoot held in Russia in 2017, the Philippines bagged 1st place in the Military Team Category composed of members of the Philippine Army.
The country’s participation is still part of PPSA’s aims to promote responsible gun ownership and safe gun handling.
