Muntinlupa LGU sends rescue team to Malabon

The Muntinlupa City government sent a rescue team to Malabon on July 24 to assist residents affected by floods.

According to the city government, the deployment of the Muntinlupa City Water, Search and Rescue (WASAR) team was in response to the request of the Malabon City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office to help and augment its response and rescue teams.

Heavy rains brought by the enhanced Habagat or southwest monsoon flooded Metro Manila.

The Muntinlupa WASAR team was briefed by Kagawad Walter Guevara, vice chairman of Barangay Potrero’s DRRMO, on steps that responders need to do for affected residents in flooded areas.

Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon, meanwhile, said the city government is continuously monitoring barangays.
