The Muntinlupa City government announced that there are 28 evacuation centers in eight barangays where people can take shelter amid the heavy rains.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon visited 33 families staying at the Muntinlupa Evacuation Center in Barangay Poblacion on July 24.
One of those staying at the evacuation center is a mom with her three-week-old baby. Biazon said he asked a doctor at the health center to check the mom and her baby.

The mayor also visited a community beside Laguna Lake in Barangay Poblacion.
He also visited the evacuation site at Barangay Putatan covered court where one family is staying.
He said there are tents and freshly cooked meals at the evacuation centers. There are also medical teams.

Meanwhile, Biazon said based on the announcement by Malacanang, all classes in all levels in public and private schools in Muntinlupa are suspended on July 25.
“Mananatiling suspendido ang klase sa lahat ng antas, public at private schools, pati ang government work sa Muntinlupa City, bukas, July 25, 2024, sa bisa ng pahayag ng Malacañang ngayong araw (Classes in all levels, public and private schools, as well as government work in Muntinlupa City, will remain suspended tomorrow, July 25, 2024, by virtue of the announcement by Malacanang today),” Biazon announced on July 24.
Also suspended is the distribution of free school supplies in schools scheduled on July 25.
Biazon said vital services in the city government will be operational such as disaster response and health.
