Fernando said Bulacan is currently affected by the southwest monsoon and is under an orange rainfall warning that brings heavy rains and causes flooding in different parts of the province.

Due to the recommendation of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) the Bulacan governor declared the suspension of offices both private and public as well as all classes both private and public in the province.

The government agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster response, and other vital public services are not included in the declaration of suspension.

Fernando said that the Provincial Government of Bulacan and rescue teams remain, ready to attend to the flooded areas in the province.

He said heavy rains and high tide flooded the areas of Balagtas, Bocaue, Bulakan, Calumpit, Paombong, Hagonoy, Marilao, and Meycauayan City.
