UP unveils UAAP Season 87 logo, theme: 'Stronger, Better, Together'

The Katipunan-based school introduced ‘Hands In Huddle,’ which calls on

all other seven member schools of the premiere collegiate league to constantly look forward, be relevant, and achieve collective greatness by working together.

It is a circular, colorful logo with hands and dots that catch the first attention. A closer look reveals that the hands – in the colors of the eight UAAP universities – also contain stylized human figures, making up a team of diverse universities working as a team.

The season’s theme ‘Stronger, Better, Together’ is prominent on the right side of the logo, with a colorful image of 87 in the word stronger.

The logo was also made intentional as it shows the hosting sequence of the other member schools in order.

University of Santo Tomas will be taking over the hosting rights next season as it remains the general champions since Season 79.

UAAP Season 87 men’s and women’s basketball both serve as the centerpieces of the first semester action which will be ushered by the traditional opening ceremony ahead of the season.

There, De La Salle and UST are set to defend their titles in the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments.
