Parañaque LGU rescues 535 individuals affected by flood

The local government of Parañaque rescued a total of 535 individuals equivalent to 150 families affected by flood due to continuous rains brought about by Typhoon Carina and the enhanced habagat on Wednesday, July 24.

Mayor Eric Olivarez and Parañaque City Rep. Edwin Olivarez personally visited the rescued families who are now staying at the evacuation site and distributed financial assistance to them.

The mayor said the families affected by flooding came from Pio de Jesus and Mayuga St., in Barangay Tambo, back of SM Sucat in Barangay San Dionisio, Kawayanan Fastrack Airport ABC Sunrise Purok 7 Riverside,  San Juan de Coastal, Silverio Compound, Riverside Barangay Don Galo, Gate I Riverside Asinan in Barangay Sto. Nino, Barangay La Huerta, and Scotland in Barangay San Isidro.  

He said the evacuees were provided with immediate assistance especially children and senior citizens.
