Some areas in Caloocan City ‘not passable’ due to flooding


The Caloocan City government on Wednesday, July 24, announced that some areas in the city are “not passable” to vehicles due to flooding caused by the continuous rains brought about by Typhoon Carina and the enhanced Habagat.

Here is the list of the flooded major thoroughfares in the city:

  • Barangay 18, Tamban St. (Knee deep, not passable)
  • Caloocan Sports Complex road (Gutter deep, not passable to light vehicles)
  • Dagat-dagatan avenue (Passable)
  • Pamasawata boundary (not passable to light vehicles)
  • Barangay 170 Diamante Street (Not passable)
  • Camarin cor. Deparo Road (Gutter deep, passable)
  • Llano Road (not passable to light vehicles)
  • Zabarte Road (not passable to light vehicles)
  • Phase 6, Barangay 178 (not passable)
  • Barangay 172, Abraham Bridge (not passable)
  • 2nd to 4th Avenue (not passable to light vehicles)
  • A. Mabini cor. Maypajo (passable)
  • Zapote Road (not passable)
  • R. Papa (passable)
  • Barangay 173, Rainbow Village (not passable)
  • Matarik Bridge (not passable)
  • Barugo (not passable)
  • Barangay 8, Sabalo Street  (not passable)

Meanwhile, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) also started its rescue operations in flooded areas to help residents evacuate and bring them to safer grounds.
